Quick answers to help you get your next recording underway.
How do I try the recorder on this website?
Choose “Start recording” in the quick-capture section, select a tab, window, or screen in your browser’s picker, and begin. Use Stop recording when you’re done, or let it finish automatically after 30 seconds.
Why isn’t screen capture available on my phone?
Screen sharing depends on your browser and device. If the quick recorder is unavailable, use a supported desktop browser. You can also choose a local video to try the preview controls.
Does the quick recorder capture my microphone or camera?
No. This website’s quick recorder captures the screen source you choose, without microphone or webcam audio. Open the full WinStudio app to explore its recording options.
Where does my quick recording go?
The quick-capture feature keeps the recording in your browser. Download the clip before closing or refreshing the page. It is not uploaded by this quick-capture tool.
Are backdrop and frame changes included in the download?
On this website, backdrop and spacing controls change the preview only. Download original clip saves the captured or imported video. Use the full studio for your editing workflow.
Which format will my recording use?
The quick recorder chooses a supported format, usually WebM. Some browsers may use MP4. The download filename reflects the format your browser recorded.
Can I reduce the animations?
Yes. Use “Reduce motion” in the footer. The website also respects your device’s reduced-motion preference. Touch scrolling remains native.
How do I contact WinStudio?
